Power transmission
The differential lock, which was designed for use
in motor sport, may make a slight noise when
maneuvering and on tight corners.
Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake
IPCCB)
The high-performance brake system is designed
for optimal braking effect at all speeds and tem-
peratures. Certain speeds, braking forces and am-
bient conditions (such as temperature and humid-
ity) therefore might cause brake noises.
Wear on the different components and braking
system, such as brake pads or brake discs,
depends to a great extent on the individual driving
style and the conditions of use and therefore
cannot be expressed in actual miles on the road.
The values communicated by Porsche are based
on normal operation adapted to traffic. Wear in-
creases considerably when the vehicle is driven
on race tracks or through an aggressive driving
style.
I>
Please consult your authorized Porsche dealer
about the current guidelines
in
effect before
such use of your vehicle.
Aerodynamic components
To benefit from the high driving performance with-
out impairing the driving safety or the service life
of the vehicle components, certain vehicle parts
must be always fully operational while driving.
I>
Regularly check your vehicle for signs of dam-
age.
Damaged, worn or missing aerodynamic com-
ponents such as spoilers or underside panels
affect driving behaviour and must therefore be
replaced immediately.
To optimise the cooling of the PCCS brake discs,
large air brake spoilers are fitted to the front and
rear running gear control arms.
If these air-brake spoilers are not fitted and there
is a high thermal demand on the braking system,
the service life of the PCCS brake discs could be
reduced.
The aerodynamic stability of the vehicle is influ-
enced considerably at high speeds by the front lip.
Due to the small ground clearance required for the
optimisation of the driving behaviour, the front lip
and the air-brake spoilers have to be placed in ex-
posed positions to fulfil their function. They can be
damaged, for example by ground or curbstone
contact.
Ground clearance
Please bear
in
mind the limited ground clearance
of your car on uneven surfaces, when parking
(curbs), on ramps, lifting platforms, etc.
Seating
Your car has two seats.
The area behind the seats is not intended for pas-
sengers.
A
Danger!
Severe personal injury or death can result in
the event of an accident.
I>
Never allow anyone to sit in the area behind the
seats.
