Function
If the luggage compartment lid is unlocked by using
the internal trunk release mechanism, the latch
striker pops into the catch-hook position and the lid
can be opened from the inside immediately.
A warning message in the instrument cluster lights
up when unlocking button is operated.
1.
Stop the vehicle immediately when the warning
message lights up.
2.
Check the luggage compartment.
3.
Close the lid.

Unsecured luggage

If the warning message lights up when the vehicle is
moving, the lid may impact the front of the wind-
shield and can tear off.

Check the luggage compartment.

Close the lid.
WARNING
Empty Battery
The internal trunk release mechanism will not work if
the vehicle does not have battery power.
Emergency unlocking of the lug-
gage compartment lid
If the battery is discharged, the luggage compart-
ment lid can be unlocked by connecting an external
battery.

Unlock the vehicle at the door lock with the
emergency key.
2.
Remove the plastic cover of the left-hand fuse
box.
3.
Pull out the positive terminal

(red) in the fuse
box.
4.
Use the red jumper cable to connect the positive
terminal of the external battery to the positive
terminal

in the fuse box.
Information
If the vehicle was locked, the alarm system signal
will sound when the negative terminal is connected.

Use the black jumper cable to connect the neg-
ative terminal of the external battery to the joint
of door arrester

6.
Press and hold the button
of the vehicle key
for 2 seconds. The luggage compartment lid is
unlocked and the alarm system is deactivated.
7.
First disconnect the negative cable, then the
positive cable.
8.
Insert positive terminal

in the fuse box and at-
tach the plastic cover of the fuse box.
