Audio clipping at far-
site when using an
external wireless
microphone.
Audio input is overdriven
on the ViewStation.
Turn down output of wireless
microphone. Put the ViewStation in
local loop and adjust mic output until
you hear audio coming back clear and
crisp with no clipping.
Local audio can be
heard when speaking
in the microphone.
The monitor or amplifier
are connected to the VCR
audio output.
Connect the monitor or audio
amplifier to the monitor audio out of
the ViewStation.
An echo is heard at the
near-site when
speaking.
Echoes are always caused
by the far-site.
At the far-site, make sure the
microphone is placed away from the
audio speaker.
The far-site audio volume
may be too loud.
Turn down the audio volume at the
far-site.
Audio clipping during
the call accompanied
by lightning bolts on
the screen.
Your IP network is
dropping audio packets.
Contact your system administrator or
drop the call and reconnect at a lower
speed.

Near-site or far-site
cannot hear or see the
VCR audio.
VCR input is not
selected.
Turn on the VCR input by selecting
the NEAR key twice and selecting the
VCR icon.
Video
Picture is blank on the
main monitor.
System goes to “sleep”
mode after 10 minutes of
inactivity.
Pick up the remote control. System
will wake up.
Same picture is seen
on first and second
monitor.
Monitors are connected
to the same output.
Monitor has both
composite and S-Video
output.
Connect Monitor 2 to the Monitor 2
connection on the rear panel of the
ViewStation.
Picture freezes often
during a call,
accompanied by
lightning bolts on the
screen.
Your IP network is
dropping video packets.
Contact your system administrator or
drop the call and reconnect at a lower
speed.
