SADRIN minibarrier
CHARACTERISTICS
The separate beams consist of two parallel rays 4 cm apart. This serves to eliminate any
false alarms due to flies, caterpillars, butterflies, etc. that might land on the TX or RX leds,
because in order to obtain the alarm condition it is necessary to cover both the rays that
compose the beam in question. The barrier consists of a transmission unit (TX), that emits
synchronized beams of modulated infrared light, and a reception unit (RX), that receives
all the beams emitted in line with the synchronism signals.
In case of interruption of one or more beams depending on the AND mode or program
timing of the DIPSWITCH on the circuit board, the receiving unit will signal the alarm with a
led and relay contact on the board. The insertion profile makes it possible to apply or
remove the covering in polycarbonate without having to dismantle the barrier from the wall.
The SADRIN barrier is designed to be impervious to interference by mobile phone that
may be used near it without generating false alarms and maintaining its operations
functions unchanged. The SADRIN barrier is protected from sunblinding up to 300,000 lux,
however we recommend verifying the movement of the sun to avoid direct exposure. It is
possible to regulate the position of the beams to the desired height by loosening the
fastening screws found on each circuit, sliding them in the guides and then tightening the
screws again.
INSTALLATION
Remove the terminals and extruded cover. If it should be necessary to reduce the length of
the profile, cut it taking care not to let any metal scraps fall onto the electronic circuit. Drill
the aluminum profile at both ends
– longer barriers may need additional holes and in this
case it may be necessary to unfasten the connecting wire momentarily
– and fasten the
profile to the wall. Position at the desired heights using the screws on the circuits, and
make the connections to the terminals, then seal the wire passage to prevent any water
and insects from penetrating. Switch on the DIP relatives to the beams used in the barrier.
Power and check that the BLINK leds are blinking on the SADRIN TX and SADRIN RX
circuits. If only the TX led is blinking, check the synchronism connections. Test the barrier
by interrupting one beam at a time and checking that the ALARM led lights up. Remember
that to interrupt the separate beams it is necessary to interrupt both the rays that compose
it. After testing it, program the desired function mode as descripted in the table, You may
put the jumper leds in off and close the barriers.
CONNECTIONS
Use shielded cables and connect the shield to the negative logic of the power supply
–12V
DC (GND). In addition to the normal power connections, Tamper and Alarm Contacts, it is
necessary to connect the two synchronism wires between the transmitter SADRIN TX and
the receiver SADRIN RX (+Sinc TX to +Sinc RX) (-Sinc TX to -Sinc RX)
