MAINTENANCE
Active Descent Control (ADC) Fluid
If your vehicle is equipped with Active Descent Control, there are two
fluid levels that must be maintained (demand drive fluid and ADC
fluid). See page 71 for demand drive fluid maintenance.
Check and change the ADC fluid level at the intervals outlined in the
Periodic Maintenance Chart beginning on page 62.
NOTICE:
Change the ADC fluid every 25 hours if the ADC unit is exposed to
extreme use. Extreme use includes operation in ADC mode for
prolonged periods or in environments that necessitate primary
operation in ADC mode.
We recommend the use of Polaris Demand Drive Plus Fluid. Maintain
the fluid level between the minimum and maximum marks on the reser-
voir. See page 119 for the part numbers of Polaris products.
NOTICE:
Do not use brake fluid. Brake fluid will damage rubber components in
the hydraulic system.
1. Remove the front rack.
2. View the fluid level in the
reservoir.
3. If the level is below the
minimum mark, remove
the cap and add the
recommended fluid.
4. Reinstall the cap.
5. Reinstall the front rack.
