FRONT BEARING REPLACEMENT
Bearing Removal
1. Remove inner snap ring

2. Press bearing out using a hydraulic press and
appropriately sized adapter.
3. Inspect the bearing carrier housing for scratches,
wear, or damage. Replace front bearing carrier if
damaged.
Bearing Installation
1. Thoroughly clean the front bearing carrier housing
and the outer race on the new bearing. Be sure that
all oil and Loctite residue has been removed from
each surface.
2. Support the bottom of the bearing carrier housing
CAUTION
Use an arbor and press only on the outer race,
otherwise bearing damage may occur.
3. Apply Loctite ® 603 ™ to the circumference of the new
bearing race

IMPORTANT
Ensure Loctite is applied around the entire
circumference of the bearing. An acid brush can be
used to assist in even application.
4. Carefully press the new bearing into the bearing
carrier housing.
NOTICE
Use care to not allow any of the Loctite ® compound to
get in the bearing.
5. Wipe the housing clean of any excess compound and
install the snap ring

6. Allow Loctite to cure for at least 3 hours before
vehicle operation.
