It is recommended to

replace the bearings anytime the engine is
disassembled

Camshaft Inspection

Thoroughly clean the cam shaft.

Visually inspect each cam lobe for wear, chafing or
damage.

Measure

lobe

using

micrometer. Compare to specification.
