AIR FILTER SERVICE
Inspect the air filter at the intervals outlined in the
Periodic
Maintenance
Chart.
In
extremely
dusty
conditions, air filter replacement will be required more
often.
1.
Tilt the rear cargo box to access the airbox.
2.
Release the (5) airbox cover latches (C) and lower
the bottom cover (D) to access the air filter element.
3.
Remove the air filter element (E).
NOTE
Leave the front portion of the lower airbox cover in the
hinges. It is not necessary to remove the lower cover
when servicing the air filter.
4.
Inspect the airbox for oil or water deposits. Wipe
away any deposits with a clean shop towel.
NOTE
If the filter has been soaked with fuel or oil it must be
replaced.
5.
Inspect the air filter and replace if necessary.
NOTE
DO NOT attempt to clean the air filter.
6.
Place the air filter into the airbox. Reposition the
lower airbox cover and install the (5) retaining
latches.
