OIL SUMP SERVICE

REMOVAL

1. Remove the skid plate. Refer to Skid Plate Service

page 11.35.

2. Drain the engine oil.

3. Remove the M8 fasteners

q

securing the oil sump to

the engine.

4. Remove the thirteen M6 fasteners

w

securing the oil

sump to the engine.

5. Remove the oil sump from the engine.

INSTALLATION

1. Clean the gasket surface on the engine.

2. Clean the gasket surface on the oil sump and apply a

thin film of crankcase sealant (PN

2881416

).

3. Install the thirteen M6 oil sump fasteners

w

and

torque to specification.

TORQUE

Oil Sump Fasteners (M6):

9 ft-lbs (12 Nm)
