SKI ALIGNMENT / TOE ADJUSTMENT
WARNING
Improper ski alignment or adjustment may cause loss of
steering control, resulting in serious injury or death. Do
not attempt to change the ski alignment or toe
adjustment.
The skis on your snowmobile are set with a small amount
of toe-out at the factory. You can inspect the toe setting
by following the procedure below. If adjustments are
required, refer to the service manual or see your dealer
for this service.
Ski Toe Setting Inspection
NOTICE
Toe alignment is measured at ride height.
1. Rock the front end of the vehicle up and down and
then set it down gently. This will set the front
suspension at ride height. Place the handlebars in a
straight-ahead position. Measure from each
handlebar end to a common rear center point to
verify.
2. Use the ski skag as the ski reference point. Measure
10 inches (25.4 cm) forward from the center of the ski
mounting bolt. See illustration. At this point, measure
between the skis. This is measurement X.
3. Perform the same measurement rearward from the
center of the ski mounting bolt. This is measurement
Y.
