RIGHT BULKHEAD CLIP REMOVAL
1. Remove the following components:
• The right side front suspension components
• Engine assembly (See Engine Removal page 3.31)
• Bulkhead floor plate (See Bulkhead Floor Plate
• Fuel tank (Remove fuel hoses and gasoline from
tank)
2. Remove the front bumper and nosepan.
3. Remove the fasteners retaining the bulkhead clip to
the support brace, cross tube, over structure, and
lower steering bushing mount.

4. Remove the fasteners

securing the bulkhead clips.
5. Remove the fasteners

securing the bulkhead clip
to the steering idler bracket.
6. Remove the tie rod boot and tie-rod if not already
removed.
7. Wearing heat resistant gloves, use a propane gas
torch to heat the adhesive

between the two
components.
8. Apply torch until adhesive begins to crackle. During
this time, the adhesive may smoke and bubble.
9. Continue heating the area until the components can
be separated.
NOTICE
Keep flame away from flammable materials. Use torch
in well-ventilated area.
Only apply heat to area that requires adhesive bond
separation. Do not apply heat to areas of adhesive
where bond line separation is not needed. Doing so will
require removing the part, removing adhesive, and then
re-applying new adhesive.
