REAR TRACK SHOCK (RTS) SERVICE
REAR TRACK SHOCK (RTS) REMOVAL
1. Raise the rear of the snowmobile off of the ground
using a dedicated track stand or similar device.
2. Remove the upper fastener securing the shock to the
rear torque arm.
3. To access the lower RTS / shock rod fastener,
remove the left bogie wheel. Note the orientation of
the fasteners, washers, and nuts.
4. Remove the lower fastener securing the shock to the
shock pivot arm.
REAR TRACK SHOCK (RTS) INSTALLATION
1. Install the lower fastener securing the shock to the
shock pivot arm. Use new lock nut. Torque fastener to
specification.
TORQUE
Rear Track Shock / Shock Rod Fasteners:
17 ft-lbs (23 N·m)
2. Install the upper fastener securing the shock to the
rear torque arm. Use new lock nut. Torque fastener to
specification.
TORQUE
Rear Track Shock Fasteners:
24 ft-lbs (33 N·m)
3. Reinstall the bogie wheel, fastener, washer, and nut.
Torque nut to specification.
TORQUE
Bogie Wheel Lock Nuts:
10 ft-lbs (14 N·m)
