6. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
7. Disconnect wires (D) from the Warn
®
winch.

8. Remove the hook from the winch cable.
9. Remove the rear winch mounting bolts (E) and
remove the winch. Remove the fairlead (F) if
necessary to gain access to the top bolts.

Reassembly:
18 ft.lbs. (24 Nm)

10. Reverse the steps of removal for installation.

WINCH /CONTACTOR
LOCATION
Both the front and rear winch contactor are located
under the left rear fender.

Winch Contactor Removal
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Remove
the wires from the winch contactor. Remove the
bolts that secure the winch contactor to the frame.
2. Refer to the wiring schematic in Chapter 10 to
properly reattach the wires to the contactor.
