Hard Disk
For XPRESS Series
Go to the “Setup” page and click on “Recording”, “Hard Disk” tab to check the size,
status and usage of the hard disk.
If you want to format the hard disk, you can click on the “Format” button. Please note
that all the data on the hard disk will be permanently deleted.
For XPERT Series
If you have 2 hard disks installed, you can click on the “Format(RAID 0)” or
“Format(RAID 1)” button to create RAID 0 or 1 system respectively.
RAID 0 uses data striping to create one large volume, high performance virtual drive.
However if one hard disk fails, all data will be lost.
RAID 1 uses data mirroring to create redundancy, where data on both hard disks will
be identical. The system will continue to function even if one hard disk fails.
