Troubleshooting
If you encounter any problems during normal use of your drive, please refer to the following
information.
Read Problems
Symptom Possible Cause Solution
Does not operate No power Ensure that the AC/DC adapter is

connected securely (at all connections).
USB cable is not
connected properly When connected to a notebook, ensure
•
that the USB cable and connectors are not
damaged, bent, or dented. Check especially
the pins.
Does not detect the
USB device USB cable is not
connected properly Ensure that the USB cable and connectors
•
are not damaged, bent, or dented. Check
especially the pins.
USB connection is not
confirmed or enabled When the device is connected to the drive,
•
a “USB Mode” menu may appear. Select
“Disk Drive” to access data from your device
or select “Charge only” to charge the device
via USB.
Cannot connect
smartphone devices You need to enable “Mass Storage Device
•
(MSD) connect mode” and “Auto connecting
mode” first before connecting the drive and
mobile device using the USB cable.
The external power
bank cannot sustain
the power during the
disc burning process Both the burning process and disc will fail.
•
Connect the AC/DC adapter and turn on
the drive. Then press the Eject button to
get the failed disc.
Does not detect the
memory card Memory card is not
inserted properly Ensure that the memory card is properly
•
inserted into the memory card slot.
Use only the supported memory card type:
•
SD, SDHC, or MMC.
The drive can not be
recognized USB cable is not
connected properly
between the notebook
USB port and the drive Ensure that both connectors of the USB

cable is properly connected to the USB
ports on the notebook and the drive.
Excessive noise
when reading a disc Unbalanced disc
loaded Replace the disc with another.

Sticker or label is
attached to the surface Detach the sticker/label carefully, ensuring

that you do not scratch the disc.
