5.4 Cooling Pad System Maintenance and Cleanup
Do the following to ensure maximum cooling pad performance:
5.4.1 Preventing algae growth

Once a day, dry the cooling pads completely
z
Twice a week,
z
Once a week,
z
Once a month during operating season, remove and brush the
cooling pads with a soft bristled brush and then
to
remove debris
z
Use an algaecide when cleaning the pads
z
Ensure the reservoir channel is in a location free of debris
CAUTION
Do not use chlorine with a concentration level that is greater than 1ppm (parts
per million).
