Regarding copy protected CDs
This unit is designed to confo r m to the s p ecifications of the
audio CD fo r mat. This unit does not su pp o r t the p layback o r
function of discs that do not confo r m to these s p ecifications.
About playing DualDiscs
A DualDisc is a new two-sided disc, one side of which
contains DVD content - video, audio, etc. - while the othe
r side
contains non-DVD content such as digital audio mate r ial.
• The DVD side of a DualDisc can be p layed on this unit
(excluding any DVD-Audio content).
• The non-DVD, audio side of the disc is not com p atible
with this unit.
• It is p ossible that when loading o r ejecting a DualDisc,
the o pp osite side to that being p layed will be sc r atched.
Sc r atched discs may not be p layable.

Playing discs created on computers or BD/DVD
recorders
• It may not be p ossible to p lay discs r eco r ded using a
com p ute r due to the a pp lication settings o r com p ute r ’s
envi r onment settings. Reco r d discs in a fo r mat p layable
on this unit. Fo r details, contact the deale r .
• It may not be p ossible to p lay discs r eco r ded using a
com p ute r o r a BD/DVD r eco r de r , if bu r n quality is not
good due to cha r acte r istics of the disc, sc r atches, di r t on
the disc, di r t on the r eco r de r ’s lens, etc.
Playable files
• Only discs r eco r ded in ISO9660 Level 1, Level 2 and Joliet
can be p layed.
• Files pr otected by DRM (Digital Rights Management)
cannot be p layed.
• No wa rr anty is pr ovided r ega r ding the ability to p lay
WMV and MPEG-4 AAC files r eco r ded on disc media
(DVD-R/-RW/-R DL and CD-R/-RW/-ROM).
Supported video file formats
DivX
• DivX is a media technology c r eated by DivX, Inc. DivX
media files contain image data.
• DivX files may also include such advanced p layback
functions as menu sc r eens and selection of multi p le
subtitle languages/ audio t r acks.

File extensions: .avi and .divx (these must be used fo r this unit
to r ecognize DivX video files). Note that all files with the .avi
extension a r e r ecognized as MPEG4, but not all of these a r e
necessa r ily DivX video files and the r efo r e may not be p layable
on this unit.
• Files not containing DivX video signals cannot be p layed,
even if they have the extension “.avi”.
Displaying external subtitle files
• The font sets listed below a r e available fo r exte r nal
subtitle files. You can see the pr o p e r font set on-sc r een
by setting the Subtitle Language on p age 27 to match
the subtitle file.
• This unit su pp o r ts the following language g r ou p s:
• Some exte r nal subtitle files may be dis p layed inco rr ectly
o r not at all.
• Fo r exte r nal subtitle files the following subtitle fo r mat
filename extensions a r e su pp o r ted ( p lease note that
these files a r e not shown within the disc navigation
menu): .s r t, .sub, .ssa, .smi
• The filename of the movie file has to be r e p eated at the
beginning of the filename fo r the exte r nal subtitle file.
• The numbe r of exte r nal subtitle files which can be
switched fo r the same movie file is limited to a maximum
of 10.

Resolution: U p to 3072 x 2048 p ixels
File extensions: .j p g and .JPG (must be used fo r this unit to
r ecognize JPEG files - do not use fo r othe r file ty p es)
• This unit su pp o r ts baseline JPEG.
• This unit su pp o r ts Exif Ve r .2.2.
• This unit does not su pp o r t pr og r essive JPEG.
Supported audio file formats
• This unit does not su pp o r t VBR (Va r iable Bit Rate).
• This unit does not su pp o r t lossless encoding.
