feature
This r eceive r is equi pp ed with the LAN te r minal and you can
enjoy the following featu r es by connecting you r com p onents
to these te r minals.
• Listening to Internet radio stations
You can select and listen to you r favo r ite Inte r net r adio
station f r om the list of Inte r net r adio stations c r eated,
edited, and managed by the SHOUTcast database
se
r vice.


• Playback the music files stored in PCs
You can p layback a lot of musics sto r ed in you r PCs using
this unit.


Besides a PC, you can also p lay back audio files sto r ed
on you r othe r com p onents with the built-in media se r ve r
function based on DLNA 1.0 o r DLNA 1.5 f r amewo r k and
pr otocols (i.e. netwo r k-ca p able ha r d disks and audio
systems).

• When you p lay back audio files, ‘
Please Wait
’ is dis p layed
befo r e p layback sta r ts. The dis p lay may continue fo r
seve r al seconds de p ending on the ty p e of file.
• In case a domain is configu r ed in a Windows netwo r k
envi r onment, you cannot access a PC on the netwo r k
while you a r e logged onto the domain. Instead of logging
onto the domain, log onto the local machine.
• The r e a r e cases whe r e the time ela p sed may not be
co rr ectly dis p layed.
1 Switch on the receiver and your TV.

2 Switch the TV input so that it connects to the receiver.
3 Press NETWORK on the remote control to switch the
receiver to the NETWORK function.
It may take seve r al seconds fo r this r eceive r to access the
netwo r k. The following sc r een a pp ea r s when the NETWORK
is selected as the in p ut function.

to select the category you want to play back,
and then press ENTER.
Select a catego r y f r om the following list:

Now Playing
– Dis p lay the Cu rr ent status and station
info r mation.
•
Internet Radio
– Listening the SHOUTcast inte r net r adio
via netwo r k.
•
Music Library
– Playback the music files sto r ed in PCs.
• Favorites – Favo r ite songs cu rr ently being r egiste r ed.
• Settings – Pe r fo r m NETWORK function settings.
5 Use

to select the folder, music files or Internet
radio station to play back, and then press ENTER.

desi r ed item. When you pr ess
ENTER

the p layback sc r een being dis p layed fo r the selected item. To
r etu r n to the list sc r een, pr ess RETURN .
When the items a r e dis p layed ove r multi p le p ages, use

to quickly dis p lay diffe r ent p ages.
6 Repeat step 5 to play back the desired song.

Listening to Internet radio stations
Inte r net r adio is an audio b r oadcasting se r vice t r ansmitted
via the Inte r net. The r e a r e a la r ge numbe r of Inte r net r adio
stations b r oadcasting a va r iety of se r vices f r om eve r y co r ne r
of the wo r ld. Some a r e hosted, managed, and b r oadcast by
pr ivate individuals while othe r s a r e by the co rr es p onding
t r aditional te rr est r ial r adio stations o r r adio netwo r ks.
Whe r eas te rr est r ial, o r OTA (ove r -the-ai r ), r adio stations a r e
geog r a p hically r est r icted on the r ange of r adio waves
b r oadcast f r om a t r ansmitte r th r ough the ai r , Inte r net r adio
stations a r e accessible f r om anywhe r e in the wo r ld, as long
as the r e is a connection to the Inte r net, as se r vices a r e not
t r ansmitted th r ough the ai r but a r e delive r ed ove r the Wo r ld
Wide Web. On this r eceive r you can select Inte r net r adio
stations by gen r e as well as by r egion.
De p ending on the Inte r net line conditions, the sound may not
be smooth when p laying Inte r net r adio.
Note
• To listen to Inte r net r adio stations, you must have high-
s p eed b r oadband Inte r net access. With a 56 K o r ISDN
modem, you may not enjoy the full benefits of Inte r net
r adio.
• The p o r t numbe r va r ies de p ending on the Inte r net r adio
station. Check the fi r ewall settings.
• B r oadcasts may be sto pp ed o r inte rr u p ted de p ending on
the Inte r net r adio station. In this case, you cannot listen
to a r adio station selected f r om the list of Inte r net r adio
stations.

The list of Inte r net r adio stations on this r eceive r is c r eated,
edited, and managed by the SHOUTcast database se r vice.
