To turn the power on
P r ess the
STANDBY/ON
button to tu r n the p owe r on.
After use:
P r ess the STANDBY/ON button to ente r the p owe r stand-by
mode.
Note
• Howeve r , if iPod/iPhone is docked, the unit tu r ns cha r ge
mode. “iPod cha r ge” will be dis p layed.
• Du r ing iPod cha r ge mode, pr ess the STANDBY/ON
button to tu r n the p owe r on.
• Remove iPod to tu r n the p owe r stand-by mode.
Setting the clock
In this exam p le, the clock is set fo r the 24-hou r (00:00)
dis p lay.
1 Press TIMER button on the remote control.
The cu rr ent date and time a r e dis p layed.
The fi r st time you use the clock, you a r e taken to the clock
adjust mode.
2 Press ENTER button.
3 Use
/
to set the day, then press ENTER.
4 Use
/
to select 24-hour or 12-hour display, then
press ENTER.
5 Use
/
to set the hour, then press ENTER.
6 Use
/
to set the minute, then press ENTER to
confirm.
To confirm the time display:
P r ess the
TIMER
button. The time dis p lay will a pp ea r fo r
about 10 seconds.
Note
• When p owe r su pp ly is r esto r ed afte r unit is p lugged in
again o r afte r a p owe r failu r e, r eset the clock (See below).
To readjust the clock:
Pe r fo r m “Setting the clock” f r om ste p 1. If the “Clock” does
not a pp ea r in ste p 2, ste p 4 (fo r selecting the 24-hou r o r 12-
hou r dis p lay) will be ski pp ed.
To change the 24-hour or 12-hour display:
1 Clear all the programmed contents.

2 Perform “Setting the clock” from step 1 onwards.
Display brightness control
P r ess DIMMER button to dims the dis p lay b r ightness. The
b r ightness can be cont r olled in fou r ste p s.
Volume auto fade-in
If you tu r n off and on the main unit with the volume set to 41
o r highe r , the volume sta r ts at 40 and fades in to the last set
level.

Tu r n the volume knob towa r ds VOLUME (on main unit) o r

dec r ease the volume.
CAUTION
• The sound level at a given volume setting de p ends on
s p eake r efficiency, location, and va r ious othe r facto r s. It
is advisable to avoid ex p osu r e to high volume levels. Do
not tu r n the volume on to full at switch on. Listen to music
at mode r ate levels. Excessive sound pr essu r e f r om
ea rp hones and head p hones can cause hea r ing loss.
Auto power down setup
Set to automatically tu r n off the r eceive r afte r a s p ecified time
has p assed (when the p owe r has been on with no o p e r ation
fo r seve r al hou r s).
• Default setting: 6H
1 Press SETUP on the remote control.
• If APD does not a pp ea r , pr ess

to select APD .
2 Use
/
to specify the amount of time to allow before
the power is turned off (when there has been no
operation).
• You can select 2, 4 o r 6 hou r s, o r off (if no automatic
shutoff is desi r ed).
3 When you’re finished, press RETURN.
