Scope of operation
Use of this unit is limited to home use. (T r ansmission
distances may be r educed de p ending on communication
envi r onment).
In the following locations, p oo r condition o r inability to r eceive
r adio waves may cause the audio to be inte rr u p ted o r sto pp ed:
• In r einfo r ced conc r ete buildings o r steel f r amed o r i r on-
f r amed buildings.
• Nea r la r ge metallic fu r nitu r e.
• In a c r owd of p eo p le o r nea r a building o r obstacle.
• In a location ex p osed to the magnetic field, static
elect r icity o r r adio wave inte r fe r ence f r om r adio
communication equi p ment using the same f r equency
band (2.4 GHz) as this unit, such as a 2.4 GHz wi r eless
LAN device (IEEE802.11b/g) o r mic r owave oven.
• If you live in a heavily p o p ulated r esidential a r ea
(a p a r tment, townhouse, etc.) and if you r neighbo r ’s
mic r owave is p laced nea r you r system, you may
ex p e r ience r adio wave inte r fe r ence. If this occu r s, move
you r unit to a diffe r ent p lace. When the mic r owave is not
in use, the r e will be no r adio wave inte r fe r ence.
Radio wave reflections
The r adio waves r eceived by this unit include the r adio wave
coming di r ectly f r om the device equi pp ed with Bluetooth
wi r eless technology (di r ect wave) and waves coming f r om
va r ious di r ections due to r eflections by walls, fu r nitu r e and
building ( r eflected waves). The r eflected waves (due to
obstacles and r eflecting objects) fu r the r pr oduce a va r iety of
r eflected waves as well as va r iation in r ece p tion condition
de p ending on locations. If the audio cannot be r eceived
pr o p e r ly due to this p henomenon, t r y moving the location of
the device equi pp ed with Bluetooth wi r eless technology a
little. Also note that audio may be inte rr u p ted due to the
r eflected waves when a p e r son c r osses o r a ppr oaches the
s p ace between this unit and the device equi pp ed with
Bluetooth wi r eless technology.
Precautions regarding connections to
products supported by this unit
• Com p lete connections fo r all devices su pp o r ted by this
unit, including all audio co r ds and p owe r cables befo r e
connecting them to this unit.
• Afte r com p leting connections to this unit, check the
audio and p owe r cables to confi r m that they not twisted
togethe r .
• When disconnecting this unit, confi r m that you have
sufficient wo r king s p ace in the su rr ounding a r ea.
• When changing connections of audio o r othe r cables fo r
pr oducts su pp o r ted by this unit, confi r m that you have
sufficient wo r king s p ace in the su rr ounding a r ea.
