system to optimize to your network!
It is recommended that you follow the coverage guideline of 1,200 square feet per access point device.
1. Disable the existing Gateway/router’s “Internet” WiFi function. Instructions on disabling Pioneer’s
Gateway WiFi can be found at under the Routers section at
. (Manage
the ZyXEL Gateway WiFi Settings)
2. Using the enclosed Ethernet cable, connect an AirTies 4920 access point (AP) to a GIGE LAN port on
the back of the Pioneer Gateway or your personal router and power on the AP.
NOTE: The primary AP must be connected to the Gateway/router prior to pairing additional AP’s
using WPS.
NOTE: If you have Pioneer DTV service, plug the Ethernet cable into Port 4.
3. To begin the syncing process on the 2
nd
AP, plug it into a power source. On the AP
connected directly to the Gateway/router, press and hold the WPS button for 3
seconds and until the 2.4GHz and 5GHz LEDs blink in sync, then do the same for the
2
nd
AP being configured. Within 3 minutes, the 5GHZ LEDs on both Aps should turn
solid
GREEN
indicating a successful mesh link between the APs.
Press & hold the WPS button for 3
seconds until 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz
LEDs blink in sync.
4. Configure additional mesh Aps by repeating steps 3 and 4.
5. Place 1 AP on each floor OR 1 AP per 1,200 square ft. for optimal coverage ensuring a solid
GREEN
5GHz LED on all AP device. A solid
GREEN
LED indicates each AP has at minimum one strong link to
the next device.
