WRF143/186 Wireless Expander
The WRF is a FastLink technology wireless expander that allows the
FORCE
and
FORCE
Lite
alarm systems, to transmit and receive
transmissions from PIMA’s wireless detectors and peripherals, making the two alarm systems
hybrid ones. The transmissions are routed
to and from the control panel over the bus.
The WRF can alert on jamming, and has a back tamper switch. For full information, see the
FORCE
Installation guide (P/N: 4410459).

Mounting guidelines
Mount the WRF where the wireless signal is high, and it can be connected to the control panel.
Do not mount the expander inside a metal enclosure or on metalized wallpaper.
Mount the expander at least 2 meters away from any electrical device that generates noise.
The expander must not be exposed to direct heat sources and sunlight, or strong artificial light.
Contact with spraying or dripping water and aggressive liquids must be avoided.
How to mount and connect the WRF
Mount the expander on a flat surface. Follow the next steps.
1.
Insert a slotted screwdriver to the niches at the bottom of the expander and remove the cover.
2.
Pass the four bus wires (not supplied) through the back plate and mount the plate.
3.
Connect the bus wires using the supplied connector, making sure to follow the numbering on both the control panel and the
expander (terminal #1 on the control panel connects to the same terminal on the expander, etc.).
4.
Set the expander in the control panel and check the LEDs; see below.
5.
Click the expander into the back plate.
6.
Test the expander.
