new IP-based multimedia communications networks. The PictureTel 210 TA is a self-contained "terminal adapter"
that connects Concorde and Venue systems to IP networks without affecting current H.320 capabilities. The 210
TA translates between the H.323 and H.320 compliant video and audio streams and communications protocols,
providing complete end-to-end interoperability.

Companies with H.320-compliant videoconferencing room, roll-about or small group systems can now enjoy the
benefits of collaboration, not only between other users of legacy group systems, but also between the growing
number of H.323-based desktop conferencing users. There is no need to install expensive ISDN lines to expand
the network of interoperable endpoints for 210-enabled conferencing systems. ISDN calling is still available on
the Venue’s internal BRI interface.
