SIRD-FTA
The Pico Macom SIRD-FTA satellite integrated receiver/decoder is a user-friendly satellite
receiver for the reception of free-to-air satellite programming. The simple-to-use front panel
and remote control interface and easy-to-navigate user menus ideally suit the SIRD-FTA for
use in consumer as well as commercial applications. The receiver uses microprocessor-controlled
tuning and solid frequency lock for a high level of stability ensuring low bit error performance
during the MPEG 1, 2 or DVB signal decryption. The receiver is compatible with DisEqC 1.0
& 1.2 and 22kHz switching control, providing voltage and switching information to external LNBs,
switches and dish rotor systems, eliminating costs associated with external powering devices.
As satellite locations, transponders and programming information changes occur, the receiver
can be upgraded using the simple Windows-based software and a home or laptop computer.
The sleek and compact case design and functionality make the SIRD-FTA a welcomed addition
to any satellite entertainment system. Additionally, the small size provides increased space
savings when stacked vertically in Pico Macom’s MOR-S6 space-saving equipment shelf.
