8 Maintenance
The P-840.xxV is maintenance-free.
8.1 Cleaning
Requirements

You have disconnected the P-840.xxV from the electronics.
✓
The P-840.xxV is discharged (p. 22) .
Auxiliary Materials Required
■
Disposable powder-free gloves
■
Soft, lint-free cloth
■
Suitable cleaning agent or disinfectant (e.g., alcohol, isopropyl or acetone)

NOTICE
Short-circuiting due to cleaning fluid penetrating the housing!
Cleaning fluid penetrating the P-840.xxV’s housing can short-circuit the actuator and drive
electronics.

Disconnect the P-840.xxV from the electronics before cleaning.

Prevent cleaning fluid from penetrating the P-840.xxV‘s housing.
NOTICE
Damage due to unsuitable cleaning agents!
Some cleaning agents may cause damage to the P-840.xxV.

Use a suitable cleaning agent or disinfectant only (e.g., alcohol, isopropyl or acetone).
NOTICE
Damage from ultrasonic cleaning!
Ultrasonic cleaning can damage the P-840.xxV.
► Do not do any ultrasonic cleaning.
Cleaning the P-840.xxV
1. Put disposable powder-free gloves on.
2. Dampen the cloth with the cleaning agent or disinfectant.
3. Carefully wipe the surfaces of the P-840.xxV.
