UART3 (P1A)
UART3 provides only two handshake signals: RTS and CTS. Figure 20 below shows the signal mapping
of the RS-232 level signals to connector P1A.

Caution:
It should be noted that the standard phyCORE-i.MX31 module provides the UART3 signals
x_CTS_RS232, x_RTS_RS232, x_RXD_RS232, and x_TDX_RS232 at RS-232 levels. Configuration
jumpers on the module allow for TTL levels at these signals instead. If you have ordered a module with
this configuration you should remember that the signals at P1A will be at TTL levels and not RS-232
levels. In this configuration damage will occur if connected to an RS-232 level interface such as a PC.
