Modes of Operation

When the LIFEPAK 15 monitor/defibrillator is turned on, it is always in one of six modes of operation. See the following topics to learn more
about a particular mode.

•

Manual Mode (p. 90)

—for performing manual defibrillation, synchronized cardioversion, noninvasive pacing, and ECG and vital

sign monitoring.

•

AED Mode (p. 91)

—for automated ECG analysis and a prompted treatment protocol for patients in cardiac arrest.
