3.4. Selecting the Trigger Mode
In order to reliably capture high-speed phenomena, many kinds of trigger modes are available for
the
FASTCAM MC1
. These trigger modes are explained next.
* This explanation relates to the direct trigger mode setting (Reference:”3.15. Direct Trigger Function”) when
the “
READY AND TRIG
”
and “
AUTO PLAY
” settings (Reference:”6.2.2. Post-Recording Auto-Playback
setting”) are off. If the settings differ and those settings have been turned on, the use of the system will
differ from the explanation below.
The procedure for selecting the trigger mode is explained here first. Following that is the basic
explanation for using each trigger mode.
1. Verify that the camera mode is in
LIVE
mode.
2. Press the
TRIGGER MODE
▲▼
keys. Pressing the
▲▼
keys selects the trigger mode.
3. The mode selected will be displayed on the screen immediately. Verify that the trigger mode
display on the screen changes each time the key is pressed.
There are five types of trigger modes, listed below.

・
CENTER
・
END
・
MANUAL
・
RANDOM
Verify that
LIVE
is displayed at the top of the monitor.
The trigger mode display in the upper part of the screen changes.
