DAPTIVE
M
ODE
The
Adaptive Mode
for
Photometer
measurements instructs the instrument to automatically select one
of four
Gains
–
1X, 10X, 100X and 1000X
.
Gains
are true electronic gain settings so that by increasing
the gain, the random noise is increased proportionally. To help decrease the measurement noise,
increase the
Frequency Response
value
.
1.
Touch the
Adaptive
field until it reads
Enabled.
When enabled,
Gain
selections are unavailable.

EASUREMENTS TO
A
VERAGE
Select the number of measurements to average for the final results. If the number of averages is
greater than one (default), the PR-680/680L Photometer will make the requested number of
measurements and display the average of the measurement.

Average
field. The following data entry screen appears:

Enter the number of averages (range is 1 to 99) and touch
when finished.
