Table 3-13
IP_USEND function block inputs and outputs
Name
Data
type
Data direction
Description
REQ
BOOL
Input
Positive edge: data transmission is started. The block is blocked during the
entire data transmission time, it cannot be stopped or reset.
ID
INT
Input
During connection establishment with the IP_CONNECT block, each
communication connection receives a unique ID. This ID informs the
IP_USEND transmit block which communication devices you want to send
data to. You can connect the ID input directly to the ID output of the
IP_CONNECT block.
R_ID
STRING
Input
This input is only used for UDP; it is not relevant for TCP/IP.
DONE
BOOL
Output
At this output you can see whether the block has successfully sent the data to
be transmitted in full. The success of data transmission can only be evaluated
during the cycle in which the rising edge occurs at this output.
ERROR
BOOL
Output
Rising edge: an error has occurred. The error code can be read at the STATUS
output during the cycle in which the rising edge occurs.
STATUS
INT
Output
Error code of the error that occurred.
SD_1
ANY
Input/output
Transmit buffer of the block.
The size of the variable at the SD_1 transmit buffer must match the size of the
variable at the RD_1 receive buffer of the corresponding IP_URCV block.
A maximum of 1460 bytes can be sent using the IP_USEND block.
The number of bytes to be transmitted is entered in the first word of the SD_1
transmit buffer (observe Intel format). This data word is not transmitted. The
data is transmitted in the other words.
The data is transmitted as a byte stream. There is no Intel/Motorola
conversion.
