Integrating the AXC 1050 (XC) as a PROFINET device
If you have activated the PROFINET device function("PROFINET device activated") or the
PROFINET controller
and
device function ("PROFINET device activated / PROFINET con-
troller activated") (see Section 6.5.1), you must now integrate the AXC 1050 (XC) as a
PROFINET device in the corresponding PC Worx project.
Instructions for how to read in the controller as a PROFINET device using the "Read
PROFINET" context menu are included below.
The following conditions apply to the example project:
You can read in the AXC 1050 (XC) as a PROFINET device if the following requirements
have been fulfilled:

The PROFINET device function of the AXC 1050 (XC) is activated (seeSection 6.5.1).
–
The PROFINET controller and PROFINET devices (AXC 1050 (XC) and other
PROFINET devices corresponding to your application) are installed.
–
A project is created in PC Worx.
–
The PROFINET controller is configured according to your application.
The PROFINET device function is not supported by the PC Worx Express software. The
PC Worx software is required to use the PROFINET device function.
Alternatively, you can also select the PROFINET device manually from the "Device Cata-
log". For additional information on creating a PC Worx project, please refer to the online
help or the quick start guide for the software.
