General description of the controller
The AXC 1050 (XC) is a modular small-scale controller with integrated Ethernet and an
Axioline F local bus connection.
An Axioline F station is automatically created by connecting Axioline F modules to the con-
troller. The Axioline F local bus (referred to as local bus in this document) is implemented
by arranging bus base modules side-by-side.

The AXC 1050 and AXC 1050 XC controllers have the same appearance. They only differ
with regard to a function. In the following, the term controller or AXC 1050 (XC) is there-
fore used in general. Where necessary, any differences are indicated accordingly.
