6.3.2 Setting default settings
Step 7: Transfer Online mode is activated automatically for the transfer.
• Select a device and connect it via the USB cable.
• Wait until communication is established with the device.
• Automatic transfer (recommended as of FW 3.0): Click on the "Automatic trans-
fer" button to configure all devices in the system. Advantage: You do not need to pro-
cess all substations as with single transfer.
Single transfer: Click on "Single transfer" to configure only the device connected via
USB. If you want to configure several devices, connect them one after the other and
click on "Single transfer".
• After successful transfer, a green bar appears displaying "Transferred" and the serial
number of the device. A USB symbol also appears.
• Click on "Finish" to save the configuration file.

Setting default settings This function is only available in online mode.
The device is supplied with the following configuration:
– 2-wire operation (4-wire operation is detected automatically)
– DSL: Automatic data rate detection in the range from 192 kbps to 5.696 Mbps per
channel
DSL port A: active
DSL port B: active
– Ethernet:
Auto crossing (Auto MDI/MDI-X)
Auto negotiation
– Digital switching outputs (only PSI-MODEM-SHDSL/ETH):
DSL A, DO = 24 V, good to very good connection
DSL A, DO = open, no or only moderately good connection
DSL B, DIO = 24 V, good to very good connection
DSL B, DIO = open, no or only moderately good connection
