Mode selector switch
The mode selector switch is used to define the operating state of the controller.
The RUN/PROG and STOP positions have a latching function, and the MRESET position
has a non-latching function. After releasing the switch in the MRESET position, it returns to
the STOP position.

Controller operating modes
Operating

RUN/PROG
The controller is in the RUN state. The application is being processed.
The PLCnext Engineer software can be used for program and configu
-
ration modifications as well as for the online monitoring function.
The application is not processed if a controller error has occurred
or if the application has been stopped by PLCnext Engineer.
STOP
The controller is in the STOP state. Application processing has been
stopped.
MRESET
Please note:
This setting will only take effect if it is made on the PRIMARY con
-
troller.
The retain data is deleted.
To delete the retain data, proceed
as follows:
•
Hold the mode selector switch in the MRESET position for three
seconds.
•
Release the mode selector switch for less than three seconds.
•
Hold the mode selector switch in the MRESET position for three
seconds.
