Information on the label of the RFC 4072R
The following information is provided on the label of the controller:
– Item designation and item number
– MAC address
– Administrator password in plain text
– QR code for reading the administrator password
– Serial number
Administrator password
You need the administrator password (in combination with the “admin” user name) for initial
access to:
– The controller file system
– Certain functions in PLCnext Engineer
– The PLCnext Engineer HMI
– The web-based management (WBM)
– The OPC UA server of the controller
Recommended:
• Only use the administrator password for initial access.
• Once you have gained access successfully, change the administrator password to
prevent unauthorized administrator access (see
).
• During synchronization, the “admin” user role is transferred from the PRIMARY
controller to the BACKUP controller.
Following successful synchronization, the “admin” user role with the modified
password is valid on both devices.
