Press the Number 1 button to record in SP speed. Press
the Number 2 button to record in SLP speed. You cannot
use the (Tape) SPEED button at this time.

Press the POWER button to turn off the VCR. The TIMER
light will appear on the display panel. (The TIMER light and the
Cassette-Inside light will flash if there is not a tape in the VCR.)
The VCR must be turned off for a timer recording to take
place. If you forget to turn off the VCR, PLEASE TURN OFF
VCR FOR TIMER RECORDING flashes on your TV screen two
minutes before a timer recording starts. To remove the message,
press the CLEAR button.

Tape Speeds
This chart shows the recording/playback time
for T160, T120, and T60 video cassettes.
There are three playback speeds: SP, LP, and
SLP. This VCR will play tapes recorded in LP,
but LP will not appear on the display panel.
This VCR will only record in SP and SLP.

Press two Number buttons for the month and two
Number buttons for the day you want the program to
record. For example, for July 10, press 07, 10. The day of the
week and the year will appear automatically. (You cannot program
the VCR to record more than one year in advance.)

Press the EXIT/STATUS button. PROGRAM WAS COM-
PLETED/PLEASE TURN OFF VCR FOR TIMER RECORDING will
appear on-screen. In three seconds, the message will disappear.
(If PROGRAM NOT COMPLETED appears, try again from step 1.
If PROGRAM NOT COMPLETED/CLASH appears, the timer
recording you just programmed overlaps with an earlier timer
recording. The timer recording you just programmed will not take
place.)
The VCR must be
off for a timer
recording to occur.
Make sure the VCR
has a tape.
