QUICK START GUIDE
NOTE : FOR GENERAL USE ENSURE THE HOLD SWITCH ON THE SIDE OF THE
RECORDER IS SET TO OFF (IN THE DOWN POSITION).
RECORDING
1. Press and hold the
button to turn on, the device beeps and the display lights up.
2.
Press the
STOP/MENU
button repeatedly to
select the desired display mode –
CLOCK /
DATE / RECORDING TIME REMAINING /
RECORDING TIME USED.
3. Press the
REPEAT/FOLDER
button to select the
folder you want to save your recording in. Folders
A, B, C & D
are available, folder
M
is for files transferred to the device from a computer.
4. Press the
REC/PAUSE
button to start recording and again to pause. Press the
STOP/MENU
button to stop recording and end the audio file.
NOTE : EVERY 10 MINUTES OF RECORDING PRODUCES AROUND 7 MEGABYTES
OF MP3 FILE AT THE RECOMMENDED “HQ” SETTING.
PLAYBACK
1. Press the
REPEAT/FOLDER
button to select the folder containing the file you want to play
back.
2. Press the
or
button to select the desired file.
3. Press the
button to begin playback.
TRANSFERRING AUDIO FILES TO YOUR COMPUTER
The DVT7790 records audio files in MP3 format. These can be transferred directly to your
computer via the USB port
1. Power up your computer.
