Note: All procedures are done with the power completely removed. Adhere to all warnings in this manual.

Top Exhaust Fin Assembly

Vari-Lite Part No:  22.9704.1620

To remove top exhaust fin assembly:

Step 1. Remove top head cover following the procedure described in 

“Luminaire Head Covers 

Removal” on page 59

.

Step 2. Remove color bulkhead assembly following the procedure described in 

“Color Assembly 

Removal” on page 63

Step 3. At tip fan duct, remove 1 x 6-32 x 3/8" PPZ plastic thread cutting screw and 1 x 6-32 x 3/8" 

PPZ SEMS screw. Refer to 

“Tip Lamp Fan” on page 69

 for more information.

Step 4. Loosen 1 x 6-32 x 3/8" PPZ SEMS screw and slide tip fan duct forward.
Step 5. Remove 4 x 6-32 x 3/8" PPZ SEMS screws and remove exhaust fin assembly.

Step 6. Replace following procedure in reverse order.
