ACCOMODATION AND INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS
GENERAL
The SBX is a New Zealand designed system to meet the needs of subscribers who require
up to 12 extensions and 5 exchange lines. The system is wholly installed and
maintained at the subscribers premises by Construction and Maintenance Branch.
The SBX is currently available in three sizes as shown in Table 1 below.

This course will cover the SBX 12E
ACCOMMODATION REQUIREMENT
In general the Philips SBX 12E is installed in an office type environment and will
therefore not require the provision of a separate equipment room.
The system is designed for wall mounting.
Location Requirements
A normal office environment, in view of the operator’s position, away from
photocopiers and out of direct sunlight.
Within 2 metres from a switchable (230v 50Hz) 10 amp 3 pin socket.
Power Failure
There is no requirement for stand-by power arrangements unless specifically requested
by the subscriber.
