Overheat protection
This HomeCooker is equipped with overheat protection. If the appliance
overheats, it switches off automatically. Unplug the appliance and let it cool
down. Then put the mains plug back into the wall socket and press the
on/off button to switch on the appliance again.
Built-in safety lock
This feature ensures that you can only switch on the Cutting Tower if you
have properly assembled the bowl with spout and the lid with feeding tube
on the motor unit. If the bowl with spout and the lid with feeding tube are
correctly assembled, the built-in safety lock will be unlocked.
Before first use
1
Remove all packaging materials from the appliances and the
protection foil from the control panel of the HomeCooker.
2
Thoroughly clean the parts that come into contact with food before
you use the appliances for the first time (see chapter ‘Cleaning’).
Preparing for use
Preparing the Cutting tower
1
Let hot ingredients cool down before you process them (max.
temperature 80°C/175°F).
2
Cut the ingredients into pieces that fit into the feeding tube. Make
sure that the pieces are not too big to prevent them from getting
stuck in the feeding tube.
3
Put the motor unit on a flat and stable surface.
4
Put the bowl with spout on the motor unit (1) and turn it clockwise
(2) to fix it (‘click’).
5
Place the tool holder in the bowl with spout.
6
Place the disc you want to use in the disc holder.
The slicing and shredding discs are intended for slicing and shredding
vegetables like cucumber, carrots, potatoes, leeks and onions and certain
kind of cheese. The Julienne disc is intended for cutting vegetables into thin
sticks.
Never process hard ingredients like ice cubes with the appliance.
The cutting edges are very sharp. Do not touch them.
7
Place the disc holder on the tool holder.
