SEVEN RANGE - EDGELIT EXIT SIGN
Semi-Recessed Version -
7100** (210mm x 40mm cut -out Reqd.)
1.
On the luminaire remove the bottom fixing plate retained by two screws and slide the cover downwards to remove.
2.
Remove gearbox lid retained by two screws, follow wiring instructions as detailed later and replace gearbox lid.
3.
Offer the luminaire body through the ceiling aperture and fix body to the ceiling using the fixing holes provided.
4.
Follow legend fixing instructions as detailed later.
5.
Replace cover and bottom fixing plate previously removed in step 1 (take note of position of LED if fitted and marry with hole in
bottom plate). Follow test procedure as detailed later.
Surface/Ceiling Version -
7200**/7300**
1.
On the luminaire remove the bottom fixing plate retained by two screws and slide the cover downwards to remove.
2.
Remove top suspension bracket (Two side screw fixings) and fix to ceiling - drilling reqd. conduit entry in ceiling, 7300 versions
have additional mounting plate on top. Offer the luminaire body to the ceiling bracket and fix body in place using the fixing
holes as previously mentioned.
3.
Remove gearbox lid retained by two screws and follow wiring instructions as detailed later, replace gearbox lid.
4.
Follow legend fixing instructions as detailed later.
5.
Replace cover and bottom fixing plate previously removed in step 1 (take note of position of LED if fitted and marry with hole in
bottom plate). Follow test procedure as detailed later.
Suspended Version -
7400**/7500**
1.
On the luminaire remove the bottom fixing plate retained by two screws and slide the cover downwards to remove.
2.
Take top rod suspension bracket(supplied separately) and fix to ceiling drilling reqd. conduit entry in ceiling, Offer the
luminaire body to the ceiling bracket and fix body in place using the countersunk fixing holes and screws provided.
3.
Remove gearbox lid retained by two screws and follow wiring instructions as detailed later, replace gearbox lid.
4.
Follow legend fixing instructions as detailed later.
5.
Replace cover and bottom fixing plate previously removed in step 1 (take note of position of LED if fitted and marry with hole in
bottom plate). Follow test procedure as detailed later.
Wall Mounted -
7600**
1.
On the luminaire remove the bottom fixing plate retained by two screws and slide the cover downwards to remove.
2.
Remove wall fixing bracket retained by four screws on both side edges and fix into position using the BESA fixing or 5mm holes
provided allowing for conduit entry. Remove gearbox lid retained by two screws.
3.
Offer the luminaire body to wall fixing bracket feeding the supply cable through the bracket and into the body utilizing the cable
entry, fix body to the wall bracket by screws previously removed in step 2.
4.
Follow wiring instructions as detailed later and replace gearbox lid.
5.
Follow legend fixing instructions as detailed later.
6.
Replace cover and bottom fixing plate previously removed in step1 (take note of position of LED if fitted and marry with hole in
bottom plate). Follow test procedure as detailed later.
Cantilever Version (right angle wall fixing) -
7700**
1.
Remove wall fixing bracket retained by one screw on top edge and fix into position using the two 5mm holes provided.
2.
On the luminaire remove the bottom fixing plate retained by two screws and slide the cover downwards to remove.
3.
Remove gearbox lid retained by two screws.
4.
Offer the luminaire body to wall fixing bracket feeding the supply cable through the bracket and into the body utilizing the cable
entry, fix body to the wall bracket by screw previously removed in step 1.
5.
Follow wiring instructions as detailed later and replace gearbox lid.
6.
Follow legend fixing instructions as detailed later.
7.
Replace cover and bottom fixing plate previously removed in step 2 (take note of position of LED if fitted and marry with hole in
bottom plate). Follow test procedure as detailed later.
Wiring Instruction
There is no restriction on the type of cable to be used but careful consideration should be applied when calculating the size of cable
for larger installations. Voltage drops should comply with the latest I.E.E. wiring regulations. All luminaires should be properly
earthed. Maximum cable size 6mm diameter on Rod & Chain suspended versions.
Mains Version
This type of luminaire requires a line for standard mains operation mode only, this may be switched or otherwise.
The luminaire is supplied with a fused terminal block. Connect the live to “L”; connect neutral to “N” and your earth to the other
terminal. Follow the test procedure as detailed later.
