Omega PS200 Troubleshooting
When you are installing PS200, you may run into issues that need your attention. This section provides
you with a list of the most common errors and issues that you might likely encounter when installing
and configuring PS200. This section also provides you with the possible cause of the errors and gives
troubleshooting tips to help you solve the errors.

Connection to Pharos
Server failed
The password setting in
pedi.ini is incorrect.
This error suggests that you have
entered an incorrect EDI password in
the PS200 or that the password field in
PEDI is empty.
This password is used by the PS200 to
authenticate client to the EDI.
Check that you have entered the
correct EDI password under
pedi.ini
in the Touchscreen
Administrator.
Connection to Pharos
Server failed
The EDI could not
contact any server for
authentication.
This error suggests that the server to
which your PS200 is connected is not
available.
Check that the server to which
your PS200 is attached to is
running.
Failed to connect to
Pharos Server
Could not resolve host
name: <hostname>
The server name that you have entered
into the URL field of the PEDI maybe
incorrect.
Check that you have entered the
correct server name in the PEDI
under URL settings.
Pharos Server internal
error
The Pharos
Station:<hostname>
does not exist.
This error suggests that there is a
naming conflict between the PS200 and
the Pharos system.
Verify that the hostname defined
for your PS200 is the same as the
Network Terminal name defined
in your Pharos Administrator or
Blueprint Administrator.
Setting Saved, Pharos
Server SOAP socket
failure: Failed to
connect to host <server
name>, port 443:
Connection refused
This error means that you are trying to
connect to the EDI server using secure
http protocol (https) but you do not
have an SSL certificate applied to your
EDI server.
You have to install an SSL server
certificate from a valid
certification authority, for
example Verisign. Pharos Systems
can supply a server certificate on
request
