10.1 Troubleshooting
Procedure
1. Ensure that the insulation is intact on all cables and that there is no damage to the insulating ma-
terial.
2. Check the fault chart with the symptoms to see if the problem is listed there, and how it can be
rectified.
3. Check the following points to rectify communication problems.
– The Ethernet cable is connected to the PrismaPro and the host computer (either directly or
via the router / Ethernet switch).
– The PrismaPro IP address has the same network prefix as the host computer.
– Port 80 is open on the host computer.
– There is no IP address conflict between the PrismaPro and another network device.
4. Check PV MassSpec-specific error messages in the help file for the software.
