6 Operation
6.1 Commissioning
Important settings and function-related variables are factory-programmed into the vacuum pumps elec-
tronic drive units as parameters. Each parameter has a three-digit number and a description. Parame-
ters can be used via Pfeiffer Vacuum DCU display and control units or externally via RS-485, using the
Pfeiffer Vacuum protocol.
