Battery cables
Check the condition of the cables, cushion clamps, nylon tie
straps, and routing. Replace a cushion clamp if the rubber has
deteriorated. Repair or tighten terminals, and secure cables
to prevent chafing. Replace damaged cables (cuts, cracks, or
excessive wear) (shown on page 5-85).

Check for cracks and damage, electrolyte level, condition of
terminals, and tightness of holddowns (shown on page 5-85).
