It is recommended that a functional brake test is carried out immediately before
further use and a brake stopping distance test at the earliest opportunity.
18.2. Road Wheel Toe-in
The front road wheel toe-in geometry has been altered. It is essential that the toe-in
is adjusted to 0° ±5mm, i.e. both of the front wheels / tyres are parallel to the vehicle
and parallel to each other.
Any adjustments and measurements must be made while the vehicle is on flat, level
and firm ground. Follow Kubota RTV X900 Operator's Manual for details on setting
the Toe-in.
18.3. Road wheel spacers
Ensure that the rear wheel spacers are tightened to 110Nm using a torque spanner.
The bolts are secured using Nordlock washers, ensure they are fitted prior to
tightening. Mark the bolts and washers using a paint pen as per the road wheel
bolts.
Should the wheel spacers or wheel spacer bolts be removed or re-torqued, the old
paint markers should be removed and then fresh paint marks applied.
18.4. Wheel Bolt Markers
Ensure that the wheel bolts have a paint line applied.
The wheel bolts have a paint line applied to highlight any wheel bolt movement. This
line is painted on once the wheel bolts have been torqued to 108-130Nm.
Should the wheel or wheel bolts be removed or re-torqued, the old paint markers
should be removed and then fresh paint marks applied, as shown below.
