Purging the system
1.
Make sure that all parts of the purge system, as listed above, are in place.
2.
Set up the microscope.

Place the sample in position.
4.
Purge the microscope and spectrometer for 15 to 20 minutes at a rate of

5.
Collect the background spectrum and the spectrum of the sample.

If you have changed a sample, any air that has entered the system must be flushed out.
