Hip Hike
Purpose of Exercise:
To promote neuromuscular control and
stability of the hips.
Preparation/Positioning:
The patient should stand in a unilateral
stance on the affected lower extremity. Apply the Core:Tx
transceiver to the lateral iliac crest of the unaffected lower
extremity, as shown above, with the lumbar strap. Instruct the
patient in the hip hike movement and set up the activity as shown
below.
