2.2
Function
HiD282*
The HiD2822 device is a 2-channel isolated barrier.
The HiD2824 device is a 4-channel isolated barrier.
This isolated barrier is used for intrinsic safety applications.
The device transfers digital signals from NAMUR sensors or dry contacts from the hazardous
area to the non-hazardous area.
The proximity sensor or switch controls the state of the relay outputs in the non-hazardous
area. The device output changes state when the input signal changes state.
The output behaviour is inverted using the switches on the device side.
The line fault detection can be enabled or disabled via a switch.
During a fault condition, the relay reverts to the de-energized state and LEDs indicate the fault.
A separate fault indication output is available.

The HiD2842 device is a 2-channel isolated barrier.
The HiD2844 device is a 4-channel isolated barrier.
This isolated barrier is used for intrinsic safety applications.
The device transfers digital signals from NAMUR sensors or dry contacts from the hazardous
area to the non-hazardous area.
The proximity sensor or switch controls the state of the transistor outputs in the non-hazardous
area. The device output changes the state when the input signal changes the state.
The output behaviour is inverted using the switches on the device side.
The line fault detection can be enabled or disabled via a switch.
During a fault condition, the transistor reverts to its de-energized state and the LEDs
indicate the fault. A separate fault indication output is available.
