Fixed value: A watchdog time is set on the HD2-GTR-4PA for the PA side that differs from
the time of the DP side.
When the HD2-GTR-4PA is delivered, the watchdog setting by default is set to "transparent".
For additional information, see chapter 5.2.3.
Setting the Watchdog Time to "Fixed" in the DTM
In oder to change the watchdog setting, proceed as follows:
1. Open the
Online
or
Offline
dialog.
2. Select "Fixed" from the drop-down list.
3. Confirm the entry with <Return>.
4. Enter the watchdog time and confirm with <Return>.

You can also set parameters for the PA side retry limit in acyclic data exchange.
Setting the PA Retry Limit in the DTM
In order to set the PA retry limit in the DTM, proceed as follows:
1. Open the

2. Select the retry limit from the drop-down list.
3. Confirm the entry with <Return>.

The HD2-GTR-4PA DTM offers the following 4 additional functions:

Restart Functions
If the coupling is simplex or redundancy is not available, all coupled PA slaves drop out of the
cycle and communication is lost. The restart functions in the DTM reboot the HD2-GTR-4PA.
When coupled redundantly, the freshly rebooted device takes over all configurations from the
other device that is still active. In order to reset to default values in a redundant system, the
rebooted gateway must be mounted alone on the motherboard.
